For DMBIUBIH, the CMBEBIH 2025 conference is not just another scientific gathering. It is a reflection of our mission to demonstrate that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the capacity to be a place where knowledge turns into innovation, and research into business opportunities.
From September 11–13, Sarajevo welcomed more than 300 participants from over 40 countries. Under the motto “From Science to Business”, we worked together to build bridges between academia, healthcare institutions, industry, and the public sector.
Our Pillars
As the association that founded and has led this conference from the very beginning, we are proud that the program included:
- Scientific sessions, where researchers shared results that are shaping practice.
- Panel discussions, where industry and institutions addressed digital and green transformation.
- Business meetings, opening opportunities for partnerships and new projects.
- Hackathon and NextGov segments, which brought dynamism and innovation – including the first OncoHackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence in oncology.
Our Role in Europe and the World
DMBIUBIH is proud that through the conference we created space for European and international initiatives that connect Bosnia and Herzegovina to the global scientific and technological ecosystem. This includes the EUROCC4SEE project, which links Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European HPC and AI community, as well as collaborations supported by IFMBE, EAMBES, EIT, and UNESCO. Through these partnerships, we ensure that our experts, companies, and institutions are part of broader European and global conversations on digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.
Our Conclusion
CMBEBIH 2025 once again confirmed that a scientific and business conference from Bosnia and Herzegovina can be recognized both in the region and internationally. For us, as the association behind it, this is proof that the vision we set a decade ago – that Bosnia and Herzegovina can host global discussions and foster innovation – is today becoming a reality.
