The Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical and Biological Engineering Society (DMBIUBIH) and American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) organize at June 22nd, 5:00 PM (CET), webinar entitled "Building a case for medical device cybersecurity".
The lecturer is Priyanka Upendra.
Priyanka Upendra is a Customer Success & Healthcare Technology Leader, currently overseeing Asimily’s customer success team and driving its products and services’ implementation and adoption. She is an advocate of patient safety, compliance, and cybersecurity in healthcare and has a proven track record in healthcare technology management, cybersecurity program operations, quality and compliance program management, and professional development of healthcare teams.
Priyanka is an active participant in the industry and standards organizations. Priyanka is an Executive Member of Technology Management Council at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation and the AAMI Publication Board. She is a frequent speaker on subjects such as healthcare cybersecurity, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical technology management. She served as the President of the American College of Clinical Engineering and its several committees. She is an adjunct professor and teaches biomedical engineering, healthcare administration, strategic leadership, and cybersecurity courses at various undergraduate and graduate programs, including the CHIME University MDH and DDH program.
In recognition of her contributions and accomplishments, she was awarded by AAMI in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and by ACCE in 2019 and 2020. She was recognized as an AAMI Fellow in 2020 and HTM Leadership Award in 2022.
Priyanka’s background includes engineering and leadership roles at Philips Healthcare, GE Healthcare, Narayana Nethralaya, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Stanford University, Stanford Children’s Health, Stanford Health Care, Intermountain Healthcare, and Banner Health. She has a BS in Biomedical Engineering, MS in Biomedical Engineering, and Doctorate (candidate) in Strategic Leadership and Healthcare Administration.
