The project "AI Horizon: MedAI" represents an innovative initiative aimed at introducing non-cyclical educational programs in foreign languages through a digital portal, with the goal of promoting the achievements of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The project aims to create innovative materials that will highlight Bosnia and Herzegovina's contributions in global scientific circles, particularly in the field of AI. Through interaction with experts and professionals from BiH working in prestigious global positions, young people from BiH will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest trends, technologies, and activities in the field of AI, thus stimulating their interest and career development in this dynamic field. The "AI Horizon" project aims to become a bridge connecting global achievements with local development, promoting knowledge and innovation through a digital platform available to all interested parties.

The "Safe Cycle" project is focused on improving reproductive and menstrual health for girls and boys up to 19 years old in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project aims to provide comprehensive education on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, promotion of HPV vaccination, and addressing menstrual poverty.
As part of the project, we plan to distribute hygiene products to several high schools in the Sarajevo Canton to address menstrual poverty and improve the quality of life for young people.
The "Safe Cycle" project is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Sarajevo Canton and represents a key step in providing support to both girls and boys.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities are based on the key principle that every person has inherent, equal, inalienable, and universal rights, derived from the dignity of the human being.
Over the years, DMBIUBIH has faced the challenge of including persons with disabilities in its activities. Understanding this principle, as well as the Global Standards for Responsible NGO Operations, we tirelessly work on strengthening our capacities to contribute to the greater inclusion of persons with disabilities in STEM disciplines and biomedical sciences.
The project "Optimization of Operational Efficiency and Increasing Transparency and Accountability in the Association for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in STEM and Biomedical Disciplines" aims to improve internal capacities and empower the knowledge of DMBIUBIH members, in order to ensure equal inclusion of persons with disabilities in the daily activities of our Society. Follow our activities on our website and social media to actively participate in this project and contribute to equality throughout the community.
We are implementing the project with the support of the Tuzla Community Foundation within the USAIDBIH activities #LocalStrength – because our community is our responsibility.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our project, which will engage 30 young individuals from Sarajevo Canton, offering them the opportunity to become peer educators and leaders in the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. This initiative will be implemented in two main phases, focusing on training and education, empowering participants to share their knowledge and skills within schools and local communities.
Phase 1: Training in a Natural Environment On October 18, 2024, from 12:00 to 16:00, at the Čavljak picnic site, participants will receive expert guidance from medical professionals and psychologists. They will develop the necessary skills and tools to effectively educate their peers. Throughout the process, they will be supported by mentors who will provide continuous guidance and feedback.
Phase 2: Community Education Upon completion of the training, participants will bring their newly acquired knowledge back to their local communities, working to foster a healthier future. This phase will allow them to apply their skills in real-world settings, contributing to the overall well-being of their peers and society at large.
Benefits of the Program
Research shows that early intervention through education can significantly reduce the risk of substance abuse in later stages of life. By equipping young people with the knowledge and tools to lead by example, we are not only preventing future health issues but also empowering a new generation of leaders committed to promoting healthy lifestyles within their communities. Participants will also benefit from enhanced leadership skills, improved communication abilities, and a deeper understanding of public health challenges.
This project is organized by the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering of Bosnia and Herzegovina (DMBIUBIH), with the support of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton.
Together, we aim to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of future generations.

That glaciers have lost 20% of their mass from 2000 to today, that by 2050, if climate change continues at this intensity, we expect that 30% of natural surfaces will be permanently changed, or that around 80% of the living world will be left without a habitat due to irreversible damage to the forest ecosystem - these are the messages we hear and take note of on a daily basis.
Climate change is a concept known to everyone, but the extent of this problem and the ways in which we can fight against it are often a mystery to us.
What are climate services?
Climate services include all information related to climate, climate variability, climate change and seasonal forecasts. They allow us to use climate data for informed decision-making, risk reduction, and exploitation of opportunities, all with the aim of better adaptation to climate change. Using climate data in an effective and timely manner is a key link for a green recovery and the creation of a climate-neutral Europe, as a response to the current situation caused by climate change. So it's time to look in the mirror – now is the time to become aware of our impact on climate change.
Where can I learn how to use climate data?
3rd - 5th October 2024 in front of Sarajevo City Center (10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.): Climateeurope2 Sarajevo Roadshow
An interactive and provocative scientific and artistic installation about climate services awaits you.
