The Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DMBIUBIH), with the support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, has successfully implemented the "Young Ambassadors of Science" project. The project involved high schools from all cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, providing young people with an exceptional opportunity for deeper engagement in the world of science, research, and project planning. It is important to note that seven teams of talented students actively presented their innovative project ideas, sharing their vision for a better future. This process not only stimulated their creativity but also allowed the expression of their unique perspectives and contributions to the improvement of scientific understanding in the local community.
We would like to extend special congratulations to the winning teams, the first and second-placed teams from the Stolac High School, and the third-placed team from the Gymnasium Bihać. Their project proposals, with their innovation and ideas for a better future, have earned them the title of the best. These teams demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, and their work stands out as a source of inspiration for future generations of young scientists.
We highlight the impressions of the members of the winning teams and express our gratitude to them for their dedicated work and innovative ideas.
"First of all, I would like to thank the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the opportunity provided to us and the motivation that actually brought us here today and led us to win first place. On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank our mentor, Prof. Damir Jurica, and our pedagogue, Suzana Perić, who accompanied us to Sarajevo to present our project proposal. Through this project, we learned how to improve the development and growth, not only of the school but also of the local community," said a member of the winning team, Juraj Previšić, a student of Stolac High School.
"I would like to express my thanks on behalf of the Bihać Gymnasium to the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the opportunity to participate in this project. My team is grateful for their education on how to write project proposals and the organization of competitions for high schools in all cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the Una-Sana Canton. Due to participation in this project, we have learned a lot, from teamwork skills, writing project proposals to presenting our own ideas and the responsibility that comes with it," emphasized a student of the Bihać Gymnasium and a member of the third-placed team.
We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the project. We want to express our gratitude to the organizers of BH Engineering Week, Radio Kameleon, and all members of the expert jury who selected the best among the best.
We continue to work together to shape a motivating scientific perspective for future generations, simultaneously promoting science among young people!
